CLINIC UPDATE: Chambers County and Re-Opening Information

June 15, 2020

On Friday, June 12th, we learned that a person in our building tested positive for Covid-19.

We immediately called a county health official to determine what we needed to do. This was actually before the positive result was even reported to the county. We immediately started the process to stop client services.

Initially, the Chambers County Health Department asked for a 14-day quarantine of our clinic/staff, but after their investigation, they determined the risk of transmission was low to staff and clients. This is due to limited access allowed to clients and the consistent wearing of masks. The Health Department revised their decision and said we may open as normal, but out of an abundance of caution, we will voluntarily close for the week of June 15th for deep cleaning of the facility.

We plan on re-opening on June 22nd.

We understand this is an inconvenience to many and we apologize for this. Abshier-Meuth Animal Hospital wants to do our part to protect our employees and clients from Covid-19. We will continue limited office access and require masks as we reopen. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe.
